GeoSUR Portal is now harvesting metadata from the INGEMMET catalog

The USGS/EROS assisted CAF to harvest metadata from Peru´s INGEMMET (Geology and Mining Institute of Peru). INGEMMET has staged on the web a metadata catalog, developed in Geonetwork, with more than 10,000 metadata records describing INGEMMET´s spatial data holdings.  All these metadata records were successfully harvested and can now be searched and viewed on the GeoSUR Portal at www.geosur.info

Venezuela releases its first national geospatial catalog

The Venezuelan Geographic Institute released in September the first Venezuelan geospatial catalog. The application provides access to more than 7,000 metadata records that describe part of the geospatial data holdings of this institution. The catalog can be consulted on the Venezuela portal at http://190.9.128.124/
